Ride 6 Expands Motorcycle Racing With Ride Fest, Unreal Engine 5

Flashspoter -  Milestone has officially shared some key information about the upcoming game Ride 6, which is the next release of their motorcycle racing game series. The game will be released on February 12, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Introducing a brand new career mode named Ride Fest, supporting the latest version of Unreal Engine 5, and having DLC plans running through 2027, Ride 6 is said to be the greatest evolution of the series so ‍‌‍‍‌far.

The most significant change comes in Career mode. Ride Fest replaced the long-used linear Championship system, becoming a chapter-based horizontal progression. Players are no longer forced to follow a specific path, but are free to choose the type of event they want to participate in, ranging from single races, endurance, time attack, to full championships. All events are grouped by motorcycle category, manufacturer, circuit type, weather conditions, and special challenges inspired by the Legends of the motor racing world.

The progression system in Ride Fest uses Fame Points. These points are key to unlocking new events, additional areas, and advanced challenges. The more reputable the performer at the festival, the broader the content that can be unlocked. The idea behind this is to promote diversity in the game and refrain from playing the same race repeatedly.

One of the elements of the final stage progression of Ride 6 is the revealing of ten Legends of World Motorcycle Racing to the players. Names such as Troy Bayliss, Casey Stoner, James Toseland, Guy Martin, to Thomas Chareyre and Skyler Howes are present as top challenges in the special chapter. Defeating them will unlock distinctive Motors and exclusive gear, making the collectible aspect stay relevant until the late stages of the game.

In terms of content, Ride 6 set a new record for the series. A Total of more than 340 motors from 21 manufacturers are available since the release, covering seven main categories. Since the Ride series is also adding at full scale an off-road race for the very first time, two new classes, Maxi Enduro and Bagger, grab most of the attention. Besides, there are 45 tracks that mix real-world circuits and fictional ones.

The use of Unreal Engine 5 brings significant visual improvements. Milestone emphasizes more realistic lighting, sharper motor details, and a more dynamic environment. Despite the increased visual focus, the studio retained the simulation identity that characterized the Ride series.

To reach players with different preferences, Ride 6 offers a dual-physics system. Arcade Mode is really aimed at casual players who want more straightforward controls, whereas the Pro mode is a simulation with real physics and deeper tuning options. Hence, the two modes were meant to be run side by side without compromising the gameplay balance.

The main area of the Ride Fest Paddock is the central hub. Here players can manage their bikes, make upgrades, go to the store, and get a new look for the bike, helmet, and racing suit. Besides that, the Paddock is the heart of the Ride Fest story, featuring an official DJ who accompanies the transitions between chapters.

Ride 6 has supported full cross-play since launch. Post-launch Split-screen Mode is an update planned to be delivered. The Race Creator tool lets players set up their own events and championships thereby extending the game beyond official content.

Milestone has put together a pretty extensive DLC roadmap as well. The Two Season Passes will be ongoing till 2026 and 2027. Each DLC brings not only bikes but new areas in Ride Fest plus more tracks, featuring legendary circuits such as Brno and Termas de Río Hondo. This approach confirms that additional content will be integrated directly into career mode, rather than just a separate addition.

On PC, the performance of the previous Ride series does tend to be niche when viewed from SteamDB data. However, with a change in career structure, the latest generation of visual support, as well as broader content, Ride 6 has the potential to attract a larger audience, both existing players and newcomers.

With a release date already set and clear long-term support, Ride 6 marks Milestone's ambitious move in expanding the scope of modern motorcycle racing games, without abandoning the simulation foundation that was its strength from the start.
